1) "The New Work of Dogs" by John Katz, who has written other books about his own experience with a rescued dog. This book is an exploration of the value of the relationships we have with the dogs in our lives.

The donor says: "I met Mr. Katz at the Veterinary Conference I attended in Florida in January. We talked at length about Rescue since he has rescued a few troubled Border Collies. We had a FANTASTIC discussion. He is a very interesting man. I LOVE his writing style and I had already read a few of his books. Anyway, I told him about our Auction and he autographed a copy of his latest book and dedicated it "To GSRNE, With Admiration, Jon Katz."   $19.95

2) "Dog Heroes" by Jen Bidner.  Search dog trainer and photographer Jen Bidner wrote and photographed this book to commemorate all the wonderful search dogs and handlers that have participated in some of the country's most memorable events such as Oklahoma City and The World Trade Center searches, as well as the dogs who serve day to day working for U.S. Customs, the Police, and the military.    $16.95
