Hanukah is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Temple of Jerusalem in 165 BC. The symbols and rituals of the holiday demonstrate an annual renewal of Jewish faith & practices.

During the festival of Hanukah, one candle on the menorah is lit each day for eight days. If you would like to participate in lighting ours, or would like to add a Dreidel below it, please follow the steps below.

1) Choose the day you are interested in lighting the candle. 

2) Send an email to holidays@gsrne.org stating:

(if you have problems sending to the above email address, please email MaineLdy@maine.rr.com )

  • Your name and full mailing address

  • Your choice of days

  • The name you want listed below each flame. NOTE: I can include a SHORT message like "In memory of" or "the best dogs" but am not able to include long messages.  GSRNE reserves the right to edit all messages. Thanks!

3) Send your tax deductible donation to:
