A Lovely Spring Day

Millie might be paralyzed, but her will to keep going continues to amaze me. She's still very much engaged in life,
has a ravenous appetite, loves her bones, and lives for every car ride, bike ride, and soon, we'll have a pet carriage
for long walks with friends. She walks only with the help of a sling, and has no bowel or bladder function left, but
we've both adapted nicely to this.

Looks like another beautiful day out there."

"Not long ago, I could walk this entire football field, on my own."

"Can I help you?"

"Hmmm."

"Interesting."

"Looks about right."

"Pass on the nose test."

"You're definitely different."

"I'm not really THAT different."

"I just require a little understanding, and a little more patience."

"How could it be, I'm old and I'm paralyzed and I've never been happier. Now THAT'S different!"
