Do you remember Paddington Bear? He was a
darling stuffed animal bear with clothing who came with a
note attached to him that said something like "Please
take care of this bear." That is what I thought of when
we got the call to help Arrow, our newest black and tan
female German Shepherd Dog. Sometime in the night,
somebody had tied this gorgeous dog to the fence of a GSD
breeder/doggie day care facility with a note that said
"We can't take care of this dog no more." The owner of
the facility called GSRNE and asked us if we'd like to
check out this dog for rescue. She said this was a very
nice GSD.
We went to see her right away and boy, were we ever
wow'ed. This dog truly is incredibly nice! She's very
pretty, she's friendly towards everybody, she's
nicely-trained, she's fine with most other dogs, she gets
along with cats too, and she's a perfect lady!
Arrow is quite large for a female GSD,
close to 90 lbs. She is around 3-4 yrs old. She's easy
to handle in general and has an easy-going demeanor about
her that is quite attractive. She's doesn't need to play
for hours to be happy - actually, she'd prefer to just
bum around the house and garden with you! She is quite
affectionate and her foster dad already adores her. Arrow
is already housebroken, spayed, and up to date on
vaccinations. She's a wonder dog!
