Heidi was found in a kill shelter and her time was almost up. Her pleading eyes caught our attention and we found her to be sweet natured so we took her into our program.  Heidi stole her foster parents heart with her sweet ways. Slight of stature, she was a very agreeable girl. She liked both their male and female dogs and got along famously with cats.

It wasn't long before she was prancing around the house happily. She has a gentleness about her in everything she does.  Give her a treat and she will oh, so gently take it from your fingers. Take her for a walk and she will hop over any mud puddles so she doesn't get her feet wet. She is such a lady!

Heidi's coloring looks different from what you are used to seeing. That is because she is a Dutch Shepherd. For more information on this breed, visit http://www.zurich.ibm.com/~jsc/more/hollande.html

Heidi found a home with a woman that had been waiting for just the right match for quite some time. She had cats and unless German Shepherds are brought up with cats, they rarely get along. Fortunately, Heidi's new mom fell in love with her after their first meeting and now Heidi has a lovely home of her very own. She gets to go for long walks in the morning and has a kitty to keep her company. What a happy ending for this girl that was so close to death.
