The Isolation Facility

"Hmmm, there's my new people, there's the new vehicle, everything is happening so quickly."

"Goodbye old life, sorry I couldn't stick around but apparently these people have bigger plans for me."

I did the second leg of the transport. Total travel distance for Vanessa from shelter to Isolation facility was 116 miles, with lots of stops along the way earlier in Maine to prepare her for her journey.

"Home sweet home?"

"Hello, Vanessa, I'm Loueen, one of the volunteers from GSRNE. I'll be helping you get settled here and will be checking on you for the next few days."

"Say hello to Karen, our president, who came to meet you, too."

"She'll be handling all the intake paperwork."

"Priscilla tells me everything will be okay now, but I'm not sure."

"You've got the right idea, Donna. I think I'll join you on the floor"

"Where did you learn that old girls like to have their bellies rubbed, Donna?"

"Now that the paperwork is done, can I go home with you?"

"This place feels a little scary to me."

"Will cookies help, no doubt?"

"Geeez, you ARE awfully sweet."

"This bed seems a little firm to me"

"Oh, this is much better!"

"This has been a long day for me, although I love my new bed."

"OK, Vanessa, paperwork is done, warm up time is over; here's your new digs for the next two days."

"I guess the steak comes later?"

"Why do I STILL feel so confused?"
