Remembering Friends
Temperatures have been
really high here, sometimes hot and humid and in the 90's. One day during
post op week 3, we took a drive to the beach, where Vanessa got to wade in
the ocean to cool off a bit. She seems to love the water, and attempted to
swim with the other dogs.

"Now WHERE did my pals go?"

"Ah, there you are, SWIMMING again!"

"Hey guys, you're having WAAY too much fun without me."

"So I'm coming right over."

"Sorry, false alarm, Matsi. Mom says I can't swim with you until the doctor
sees me first."

"But I'm happy to hold your ball for you while you swim."

"Not in THIS lifetime."

"Soon I'll be right there with them, and the ball will be mine all mine!"
"As the day came to a close, mom called Matsi
and Duke out of the water."

"As usual, I rode in the backseat, away from my excitable pals."

"THEN, just as we were about to leave, Matsi told us she needed to go check
out something suspicious."

"So she ran up the hill and became very focused."

"She seemed to be searching DESPERATELY for something."

"She then QUICKLY jumped onto her rock and never budged."

"Matsi, we're all getting a LITT-TTLE concerned about you up there."

"Guys, I don't want to alarm you but I think..."

"MY GOSH, MILLIE, IS THAT YOU?!"

"But how could this BE?!"

"You didn't REALLY think you could get rid of me FOREVER, did you, Matsi?!!"

"Ahhhhhh. Ahhhhhh. She's back. Millie's BAAAAAACK!!!!"
